St. Vincent de Paul

Mission

The mission of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) Uniontown Area Conference is to provide help and hope to those in need and be a visible presence for the poor. SVdP depends on dedicated volunteers and public donations. Community donations enable SVdP to generate funds to support our charitable mission.

Programs and Services

Direct aid to the poor is available by means of our on-campus assistance program. Assistance includes, but is not limited to, avoiding termination of utilities, reestablishing a family after a fire, helping with costs associated with a burial, auto repairs, medicine, temporary emergency shelter, and educational scholarships. Once the need of the client is validated, volunteers work diligently to provide the necessary assistance in a timely manner. SVdP also operates an Emergency Food Pantry. Client assistance, whether direct aid or in-kind vouchers and the emergency food pantry distributions are all made possible by the generosity of the community.
